Trying to find a reasonably priced white gaming keyboard?

Many of you are probably trying to find a decently priced white gaming keyboard, whether it be mechanical or non-mechanical presumably the colour is more important.  What about showing the dirt - well, you don't care - you've decided you want white so why not go for it!  But where are you going to look to get one?

Well, you could look at Matias, or TT MEKA's or G510.  Or you could look for something like the Rosewill RK-9000I which is white plated but the keys are black (possibly better for aged marks on key presses down the line).  It has a white metal inner chasis and has a lifetime of approximately 50 million clicks.

But remember to keep an eye for second hand or used white gaming keyboards - you can always pick yourself up a bargain at ebay or somewhere like that.

Razer Gaming Keyboard Review

Traditional PC and Mac mice come in many different form factors.  Essentially, for a PC, they have two buttons, a scroll wheel for browsing and most likely a laser focus (as opposed to the old ball trackers back in the day!). For a mac, the mouse is slightly different - there is a one click system, but Apple have re-invented the touch sensitivity such that putting you finger in certain places will trigger different functions.

As a Mac user, I think the mouse is fantastic, the trackpad is another matter though, and I certainly would not recommend that for gaming.

There is a bit more choice when it comes to PC gaming, in terms of mice and keyboard options.  But still, gaming keyboards still have the standard qwerty system, but also have a range of other features that make it more suited to gaming.

What is the difference between a normal keyboard and a gaming keyboard?

Well, taking a look at the above review of the Razer Deathstalker Ultimate Gaming Keyboard it is easy to see the wealth of options - such as a dedicated macro key (if you need to press a series of keys at any given time in a game), gaming mode ghosting for unto 10 keys at a time, adjusting settings to disable certain keys (like multiplayer call of duty to disable the Windows key).

Although that doesn't come in the white colour, it still is pretty cool.

What do you think?

Review of best gaming keyboards

There are a tonne of gaming keyboards on the market - a wide range of colours, shapes and different
Corsair K70 gaming keyboard
Corsair K70
features.  Here is a quick review of what we think are the ones you should keep an eye out for:

CM Storm Quickfire
One of the cheaper options on the market - you can buy for around $60 if you look in the right places.  There is no backlit option but there are a lot of versions available.  It is a full size mechanical gaming keyboard, doesn't come in white but is available in black.

Logitech G710 Plus
Looks fantastic and is Logitechs main keyboard - if you are a serious gamer you want to check out this gear.  Personally, it is part of my arsenal.

Razor BlackWidow
Again, available in a tonne of different configurations this gaming keyboard is available in black.  At the time of writing this is one of the most popular keyboards on the market - deserves a serious look.

Corsair K70
What can I say - this looks and feels amazing to play.  Comes with lots of backlit options which is great for customisation.  Again, this keyboard warrants a serious look

White Keyboards For Mac

Mac gaming is big now, there is no doubt about that.  When developers are coding games, they are also porting to mac along with the usual Windows, PS4, XB1 platforms.  Borderlands is a great example of this.

So what about the gaming keyboards and mouse?  Is there anything in particular for Mac gaming?

Razerzone is a cool company we found that makes mac compatible gaming equipment - from nice mouses, to keyboards to gaming headphones, be sure the check them out.

Their gear comes in a variety of colours, including the white we know you are after!

Logitech also make some nice white gaming keyboards for OS X and mac but if you come across any others please do let us know.

Best White Gaming Keyboards

OK so you have a great gaming PC.  You got a quad core processor, you got a 4K monitor and a graphics card that is fast enough it can out run a lion!  What about the keyboard?

Don't under estimate how important the keyboard is in the gaming experience.  You got to be able to make a move without hesitation.  Opponents playing multiplayer in Killzone shadow fall would be rather unforgiving for diving left straight into oncoming attack assault when you meant to hide right! So getting the right gear for your experience is pretty important, but it also needs to look great to.

Step in the best types of white gaming keyboards.  Questions to ask - what is the chassis like, what are the stages of pressing keys, how does it feel under your fingers?  Also think about the connectivity - wireless keyboards are great, but keep in mind you don't want the batteries to run out half way into a Battleground game.

A few manufactures of white gaming keyboards to consider:

CYBORG S.T.R.I.K.E
Razor Tron
Azio Levetron Mech5
Corsair Vengeance K70
Logitech Mechanical Gaming
Saitek Cyborg

There are clearly other companies specialising in gaming keyboards, but we thing these models should keep you occupied for the mean time.
